During the "Expo-Alimentaria" exhibition, in the Cartavio stand, the brand ambassador & rum expert Jorge Irribarren teached how to taste rum to the well known peruvian chef Gaston Acurio, while they tasted the premium Cartavio Solera 12 years and ultra limited Cartavio XO 18 years.
This meeting happens because The exceptional Solera Cartavio 12 years and Cartavio XO 18 years where presented in Cancun, Mexico, to all the mains sommeliers, bartenders and alcoholic beberages professionals, thanks to an invitation of the Syrah Sommeliers Association and the "Tecnológica de Cancún University".

The well known actress Tatiana Astengo, besides Ana Osorio and Jorge Irribarren in the Country Club Hotel Cocktail for the inauguration of the 13th Latinoamerican Film Festival in Lima. They as every guest enjoy Solera rum during this wonderful evening.
During the 3rd. "Simposio del Tabaco Habana-Habanos 2009" The peruvian Solera Cartavio 
rum (Destilerías Unidas) has been presented in an analitic tasting.
The event ended with a marriage with chocolates, peruvian San Martín Robustos cigars (Tabacalera del Oriente) and the ultra premium coffee Cohiba Atmosphere.
The participants of the tasting where sommeliers, habano-sommeliers, cigar connoisseurs, professors, alcoholic beberages specialists, traders, investigators, bartenders, and other professionals of the tobacco and alcoholic beberage fields, from Cuba, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Perú and Brasil.
The tasting has been placed in the historically "Taberna del Benny" in the "Plaza Vieja", Old Habana city, and leaded by the Solera rum brand ambassador, Jorge Irribarren and the coffee specialist Mario Alonso from Cubacafé.
In the picture we can see the specialists from Cohiba Atmosphere coffee and Solera Cartavio rum, choosing the correct marriage, before the official tasting.
The most important experience was that in Cuba, one of the lands where you can find wonderful rums, the peruvian Solera Cartavio 12 years rum, simply impressed and delighted everybody.
The compliments and congratulations for Solera were too much.
As other times, our chilean friends had a wonderful mixes of sesations with the high level of the peruvian gastronomy, that now has also, an ultra premium spirit.
As the last part of the 3rd. Panamerican Assambly of Sommeliers (Lima-Ica, April 2009), with the support of the ASI, Destilerias Unidas gave a "rum master taste" in the Carreta Restaurant, in honor of the presidents participant: Danio Braga (Brasil), Pablo Tenguerian, (Argentina), Henry Rosado (Dominican Republic), Ronal Schneider (Venezuela) and Alan Cayo (Perù) . 
The ATA hymn has been interpreted by the prime guitarist Ernesto Hermoza and declaimed by mister Bullard.
The Cabaret Summer Party in the beach town Ancòn (north of Lima) had many pretty girls that in a nice disguise has enjoyed the 12 yers old Solera rum.
